Shipping Policy
At Sanskaari Designs we work with a third-party logistics company who handles the shipment of our online orders.
All orders are sent from the UK with worldwide shipment available.
Orders will not be dispatched on weekends or UK Bank Holidays.
All items ordered on the Sanskaari Designs website will be shipped from the UK via Royal Mail or Parcelforce (Tracked & Signed for).
Domestic Orders
We aim to process your order within 48-72 hours. Please allow 3-5 working days to receive your order.
Once we have shipped your order we will send you an email with a reference number so you can track its journey.
Once your order has been delivered and signed for, Sanskaari Designs ceases to be responsible for lost or stolen packages.
International Orders
EU Order - £13.99
USA & Canada - £21.99
The time from order to delivery will vary depending on your location. However, you should expect to receive your order within 7-14 working days, after your order has been processed.
Orders will be shipped on the basis that they will be signed for at the delivery address. We will provide you with a shipping tracking reference number which you will receive via email.
Sanskaari Designs is required to declare the value of all international shipments for customs purposes. Any and all duties, taxes and fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Once your order has been delivered and signed for, Sanskaari Designs ceases to be responsible for lost or stolen packages.
Return & Exchange Policy
Returns
Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order if you are not happy with any of the items you receive, and return within 14 days.
Email us at customercare@sanskaaridesigns.com and we will provide you with a return address. Please respect our warehouse privacy policy and do not share this address with anyone.
Please note - our warehouse is a 3rd party logistics company. They do not accept parcels to be dropped off in person.
In order to qualify for a refund, all items must be received by Sanskaari Designs unworn, unwashed, with original tags attached and in a resalable condition.
Once Sanskaari Designs has confirmed receipt of a return request, the customer is responsible for ensuring the item is returned within 14 days. The acceptance of any items received after that will be at Sanskaari Designs's discretion.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable and at present we do not cover return shipping costs; they are also the responsibility of the customer.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure safe delivery of returns. We recommend that you use a "signed for" service for your return shipment. No refund will be approved if a return shipment is not received by Sanskaari Designs.
We recommend reusing your compostable mailing bag to send the items back to us!
Sale Items
Reduced price items which are featured on the SALE page of the Sanskaari Designs website are "Final Sale Only". This means that they cannot be returned for a refund or exchanged. The product description will state if this policy applies to the item.
Exchanges
At Sanskaari Designs we solely stock and produce one of a kind pieces, which means that it may not be possible to exchange an item for an exact match or the same in a different size. If you would prefer an exchange to a refund please contact us by email : customercase@sanskaaridesigns.com.
Refunds
We feel it’s important for you to 100% love the items you're purchasing and feel comfortable knowing you can send it/them back on the off chance you aren’t happy with your order.
We’d like to remind all our customers that we hand pick and check each piece of material before giving it a new lease of life and transforming it into the item you’ve received. It’s important to note that there could be some small imperfections in the sarees due to the nature of upcycling.
Our returns policy is 14 days. Please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order and make the return within 14 days.
Please allow up to 14 days for a refund to be completed. You will be emailed once the refund has been completed.
Sanskaari Designs reserves the right to refuse any returns which do not meet our Return Policy.
Faulty Items
Customers are entitled to a full refund up to 14 days after receiving the goods if they arrive or develop a manufacturing fault. We can send an exchange or refund for faulty items and cover this delivery cost.
We will not be held responsible for any item(s) where a fault has been caused due to customer negligence, such as, but not limited to, pulls from wear, burn holes, or not following the care instructions. Only manufacturing faults will be considered.
Please contact us via email at customercare@sanskaaridesigns.com providing your order number, photos of the item and faults, and as much information as you can regarding the fault. We will contact you via email to confirm the next actionable steps within 3 working days.
Undeliverable items
If items are undeliverable to you by The Royal Mail or Parcelforce service, these orders will be held for a defined period of time (time varies - please see Royal Mail t&c’s) for you to collect. If uncollected items exceed this limit, they will be returned to us as the sender. We can send out returned items again but we will need to collect additional postage charges from you.
Royal Mail Disruptions
Due to the number of Royal Mail strikes this year, we could experience delays and disruptions to regular service. We do advise patience in these circumstances as they are beyond our control. We allow up to 21 days from the date of delivery for the package to arrive at its destination. If this time period is exceeded we will apply for a claim with Royal Mail and you have the right to ask for a refund on any tracked service. We will examine claims on a case by case basis.
We would like to remind customers that these are exceptional circumstances and mail should arrive within the specified time.
Exclusions
We cannot accept returns or exchanges for products purchased at any festivals or external events.
Packaging
Our whole ethos at Sanskaari Designs is based on and around sustainability, so we use 100% compostable mailing bags to ship all your orders. If you have any concerns about the delivery of your order, contact us by email or contact your local postal office using the tracking number.
The packaging bags which come with your pieces are made from offcuts of hemp and jute, and then screen printed with our logo. We thought it would be nice to make something that, like our clothes, will have a second life for you to use when travelling or simply for storing your socks & underwear. :)
Our eco-friendly compostable mailer bags are made from durable bio-resin material that breaks down over time when placed in a compostable environment, even in your home compost.
These compostable mailers were designed with a double glue line to promote reuse, including ease of returns. The eco mailer bags are printed with a safety warning notice, plus eco-friendly information that shows your true commitment to the environment.
To successfully break down, these compostable mailing bags need to be placed in a compost environment exposed to heat, moisture, and microorganisms. Our compostable mailer bags are manufactured from derivatives of plant sources using starch and lactide-based compostable materials that have been certified by Din Certco according to EN13432, which requires more than 90% of the material to convert into biomass, CO2, and water, with no harmful residues remaining.
